Before you say: 'FIX HOI4 FIRST!!!!l' This is just a fun wishlist and for things that will likely NOT appear in HOI4.I think I'll start with one for now and it's one of the biggest change I want to see from HOI5 is a 'Dynamic Frontline'.I always found it rather weird that lets say you're attacking Stalingrad and the arrows even show that you're getting closer and closer inside the province as the arrow fills up. But as soon as you halt the attack, your units instantly are back at the center of their province. Same with moving units to different provinces. Even if you are close to entering the next province, you can Stop them or change directions and they would instantly start from the center again.I also think this system would help in the Pacific/naval invasions because I always found them to be flawed in HOI. The invading units should be owning territory on the island. But in HOI as soon as the enemy fleet comes in, all your invading force is destroyed or forced to flee in transports.

I'm pretty sure enough attackers would be able to hold and occupy enough percentage of the island. It would also make sense for other scenarios like Stalingrad where much of the city was under German control but there still was resistance inside plus Soviet reinforcements arriving through the Volga and meeting German defenses in the river bank. HOI can't simulate that because the Germans would have to FULLY control Stalingrad. A dynamic frontline would mean parts of Stalingrad either belong to the Germans and Soviets.I admit I don't know how this would be implemented in the game. Like how would you even form a frontline if HOI5 isn't provincial based? I think it would have to be unit-based.

An aura around each division like the red circle around Armies in Total War. In TW the red rings meant that enemies have to go around it and anything inside it during an engament such as an Allied or another Enemy army would be involved the actual battle. In HOI5 those could work for divisions and form front lines.Any feature or etc you want to see in HOI5? I really wish the diplomacy was somewhat immersive. Everyone is just stuck as 'meh' unless you're in a faction. Then everyone goes 'I HATE YOU' or 'I LOVE YOU'(non-majors still 'Meh') and no-matter what this will never change. I want to see the factions break down over inter-faction disagreements.

I want to see unique members form their own alliances, or join others. The diplomacy options have nearly no effect on their outlook of your country - the only things that is useful is ideology support and coup.

Everything is just so static. I shouldn't go through two decades and the only interaction with my allies is quick glances every few months to check on their progress. The most devastating weapon of WWII was not the atomic bomb.It was propaganda. The ability to control the minds of the masses is paramount to any sort of war taking place. The Americans became well know for their brand of propaganda during WWI, via the ideas of one Edward Bernays, the nephew of Sigmond Freud.Others of his ilk took notice of the effectiveness of Bernays' ideas.People like Joseph Goebbels. In peacetime, 'propaganda' translated to 'public relations'. This is one of the reasons why corporations have become so powerful today.

It is through the use of propaganda that corporations make their riches. So I'd like to see more immersion into propaganda for the next installment, but will understand if Paradox decides not to get into that line of thinking in its games and with its consumer base.; ).
