I can't remember the exact terminal entry, but it's there somewhere.EDIT: I was wrong about the terminal, but I see no evidence the Brotherhood is seizing tech by force (except from raiders and super mutants), yet there's a lot of dialogue that shows the Brotherhood engaging in trade (protecting caravans, trading medical supplies for ammo, etc.) The new Brotherhood isn't LOLEVIL, it's just morally gray.
I'm pretty sure all three sides (BOS, Minutemen, Railroad) are diplomacticly retarded. None of them try to negotiate, granted each side is either recovering, or has recently recovered from a almost faction killing event (Preston was the last of the Minutemen before the sole survivor takes over, railroad was reeling from the switchboard, and the BOS really didn't like what was happening to them when they stopped to help people the traditional way), so I can understand they'd lash out at anything that looked at them funny. It was then, as the darkness closed around him, that they struck. He was surrounded. An endless, rolling tide of things, screaming and howling as he mowed them down. Some were human, most were not, but all were equally horrifying.
Corporal Adrian Shephard jammed the trigger down on his MP5 and yelled as the boiling mass dragged itself towards him. Even as they crumpled and died, the shadowed corpses were changing. As he watched, they began to morph and shift, oozing like tar into an upright shape – the shape of a human.
As the apparition solidified, Adrian stumbled back, dropping his submachine gun and pulling out the Desert Eagle that was strapped to his thigh.“Get back!”The man-shaped object stepped forward, and Adrian tightened his grip on his pistol. The laser sight activated, bathing the scene in blood-red shadows, and illuminating the face of the creature before him.“No!”The Desert Eagle fired, an ear-splitting bang that sent him reeling. He straightened up, only to see the shape advancing towards him again. With an incoherent yell, Adrian Shephard emptied the magazine, each shot growing louder and louder until the last onejolted him awake. Gasping for air, the Marine sat upright on the floor, conscious of the sweat running down his forehead. It took him a few seconds to realise that he was still sitting in a small concrete cell - yet he could still hear the banging sound, louder than ever.'
It has my leg!' He looked up.
Through the bars of his cell, he could see out into the atrium of the abandoned police station, where two of his captors were wrestling with something in the doorway. Adrian's heart leapt as he realised he had a chance to escape. He examined the door of his cell. The door was padlocked in only one spot, and it seemed secure enough, but the floor beneath his feet showed clear signs of concrete cancer.
Straightening up, Adrian backed himself against the far wall, then charged forward, kicking the door as hard as he could.Haylen and Danse were still struggling with whatever was pulling them. Both were firing their bulky laser pistols out through the door at some unseen enemy. It was then that the door opened, and the first of the creatures tumbled in.
A hideous, mishappen humanoid, clad in tattered rags and sporting a burn wound from where a laser had hit. Adrian looked from his captors, who were struggling to close the door, to the creature, and redoubled his efforts on the cell.
The choice between the hospitality of his jailors and being eaten by a zombie was an easy decision to make. Yet no matter how hard he tried, the rusted cell door remained firmly closed. The wall. The exposed section of wall outside his cell also showed signs of concrete cancer, and several deep cracks extended into the wall next to him. Adrian backed up to the bars, and delivered a kick to the right side wall of the cell. Dust puffed up around him as he hammered desperately at the concrete, until at last he heard it begin to splinter. With one final run-up, the young Marine cannoned through the wall and into the destroyed office next door, landing in a heap amongst a pile of broken furniture.
Adrian dashed over to the bench where Haylen had been examining his equipment. He grabbed his MP5, and went to insert a magazine – only for the weapon to fall apart in his hands. Haylen had not put any of his guns back together after examining them. Tossing aside his slide-less Desert Eagle, Adrian snatched up his pipe wrench and dashed out into the atrium. One of the zombies turned to face him, a warning growl bubbling out of its ruined mouth. Without hesitation, the Marine whipped the pipe wrench at the creature’s face. The tool connected with a crunch, snapping the zombie’s head back at an unnatural angle and knocking it over. Another was charging towards him as soon as the first had fallen, but Adrian recovered, delivering a stunning blow to the chest.
The zombie fell to the floor, where a heavy boot connected with its throat. The last of the zombies sprang up from Danse and hurled itself towards him – only to be stopped short by a blast of red light that reduced it to a pile of glowing ash. Adrian looked over to see Haylen, propped up on her elbow, with her chunky laser pistol clutched in one shaky hand. The door creaked slightly, then swung shut. The hammering had stopped. Adrian walked over and kicked it shut, before jamming the handle of his wrench into the latch to secure it.
Turning around, he was confronted by the sight of someone waving a weapon in his face.' Haylen was standing up, aiming her laser pistol straight at Adrian. Hands on your head.”“Whoa, whoa, easy. In case you hadn’t noticed, I just saved your life fromwhatever those where.”“He’s right, Scribe. He’s not our enemy.
We appreciate the assistanceCorporal.”Haylen slowly lowered her weapon, but her guarded stance told Adrian that he was yet to win her trust. The Marine exhaled, wincing as he felt the beginnings of fresh bruises breaking out on his shoulders from his hasty escape from the holding cell.“What the hell were those thingszombies?”“Not zombiesferal ghouls. Irradiated pre-war humans, reduced to an animal state. We’ve been under siege from them for the last week – but they never usually attack when the sun is still out. Damn.” Danse accepted Haylen’s hand, and pulled himself up. “The population at College Square must be denser than we thought.”“Irradiated?
By what?”“I’m afraid this changes things. Haylen, check on Rhys, see how he’s holding up. As for youcome with me. I’ve got a proposition to make.”XXXXXXXXX“You’re going to take me to this settlement of yours. If I suspect for even a second that you’re leading me into a trap, I’ll let D0g here finish you off. Got it?”“Huh.
Doesn’t look much like a dog to me. What kind of scraps are you feeding him off the table?” That remark earned her a swift kick.“Move. It.”Piper hadn’t been able to get a good look at her captor’s face before she had stolen her scarf and wrapped it around her mouth, leaving only her eyes and a shock of short, black hair streaked with red visible. She wore a pair of faded jeans, heavy boots, and a grey jumper with a battered leather jacket over the top. An oversized automatic pistol was kept pointed at Piper at all times. The woman herself didn’t look too out of place for the Commonwealth, but the thing walking behind her was unlike anything Piper had ever seen.
Trailing a few steps behind them was a colossal robot, easily taller at the shoulder than most super mutants. It followed with a loping, ape-like stride, occasionally echoing the woman’s commands with a threatening growl.Piper dusted herself off, and resumed walking.
“I will warn you, Diamond City Security aren’t going to be so keen when you roll up pointing a gun at my head. They won’t exactly be fans of your robot either.”“That so? They’ll let me in, once they find out who I am.”Piper’s inquisitive side kicked in. You some kind of celebrity? Or maybe just an upper-tier resident?”“Important enough for people to know not to play games with me.” The woman re-adjusted the battered knapsack she was carrying.“Why did you steal my scarf? You’ve got a jacket already.”“You and I both know exactly what will happen if they catch me with you, or if you get caught after I’m gone.
It’s safer if you don’t know my name, and don’t see my face.”Piper frowned. “No, I’m afraid I don’t. When who catches us?”The midday sun glinted off a shiny metal object somewhere up ahead.
Piper’s captor reacted almost instantly, darting into the doorway of a building and dragging the startled reporter with her. She made a complicated gesture to her robot, who turned and charged away up the street.“What is it?”“Stay quiet. I don’t think it saw us.”The distant sounds of a scuffle echoed down the street towards their hiding place.

Then, something metal clattered to the pavement nearby, followed by a triumphant whoop from the robot. Lying in the roadway was the pulverized remains of an old Eyebot. The hulking robot made an excited whooping sound, as if it were a dog that had just retrieved an oversized bone.“A scannergood work boy!” The woman patted it on the head, before turning to Piper.
“Hopefully we can make it to this settlement of yours before they sweep the area again. How much further is it?”Piper looked at her captor, then back at the mangled robot at her feet.“Cambridge wwwzzzrrttymer Labs! Weeeeeee are now hiring”.
